Banks That Don't Use Chex Systems - Why They Are The Answer To Your Banking Problems
Applying for a bank account online is very simple and takes a couple of minutes. You can also get instant notification of the status of your application.

The best way to avoid being on the country's biggest bad credit risk database is not to overdraw your checking account. However, in unavoidable circumstances, there is no need to panic. There are few other options awaiting you. Find banks that don't use Chex Systems and open a second chance checking account to improve your credit scores.

Planning to open a checking account, yet are unable to? Frankly, your credit history might be standing in your way. If you are in bankruptcy or have ever been in the past, you might not be able to even open an account at most major banks. In these difficult financial times, this is a very serious issue, and not at all uncommon.

Many people have had a tough time in the global economic downturn, so you are not alone. Even the simplest things like getting a home mortgage, obtaining a credit card, or even opening a
of credit can be nearly impossible.

If you've had less than stellar credit, it can be a challenge doing even the simplest of financial transactions. And if you're unable to get a basic bank account, most people simply won't take you seriously. Yes, it's frustrating, but how did all of this come about? How is it that you can't get a simple checking account? After all, this is the United States of America, right? If you're looking for a company to blame for the mess you find yourself in, look no further than Chex Systems.

Chex Systems - A List You Don't Want To Be On

What is this horrible company, you might ask? Think of Chex Systems as a watchdog service. The banking community hires them to keep a list of people who have had trouble paying their bills. If you have been unfortunate enough to have made some poor financial choices in the past - even if it was a situation out of your control - you may be on Chex Systems "bad" list.

Banks, in turn, buy the lists from Chex. If your name appears on the list that your bank bought, you will probably be denied a the privilege of opening an account. If this happens, what do you do? Are you doomed to a life of stuffing your money in your mattress for the rest of your life?

Fortunately for you, the answer is no. Even though most banks use Chex Systems' lists to judge someone's credit history, not every bank does. There are banks that don't use Chex Systems. Those banks are are called second chance banks and they are ready, willing, and able to offer you a checking account and even a credit card. All you have to do is find them to get your second chance bank account and get back to normal.

Are you looking to open up a bank account but can't? The likely reason is you have found your name in the ChexSystems database. This a global database that tracks people who bank with bad credit. If you find your name in it, you won't be able to open up a checking account, at least not for a very long time. non chexsystems banks,

Last year I had a problem. I went down to the local bank and tried to open a new checking account. Unfortunately, I found that it was impossible to open the bank account. I was told by the teller that my name was listed in the ChexSystems records and I was not a suitable client for the bank at this time.

This shocked me. I had never, ever heard of ChexSystems before and was completely unaware that this organization could prevent me from opening up a new checking account. In fact, I was in a bit of a pickle because due to an overdraft that I could not pay, my previous banking account with another bank was suspended. I was out of a bank account. This was scary because, as I found out, I could not even open up a new checking account with a completely different bank. The reason? When my first bank account was shut down, information was forwarded to ChexSystems; all major banking institutions, I found out, look at this list before giving a new client a checking account.

So what did I do? I spend a good two months looking for banks that do not use ChexSystems. The bad news was that there were not very many of them. In fact, I found no major banks like CitiBank or Bank of America that offered checking accounts to people with bad credit. I did finally find a local credit union that was not partnered with ChexSystems. I now have a checking account again, but for a good couple months it was a scary situations. I'm a construction worker and was unable to cash my work checks for a solid two months. You don't want to be in the same position that I was in.

Here are the three options for getting around this problem that I've found:

    1. Prepaid credit cards -- Expensive though and not as flexible as a bank account

    2. Online Checking Accounts -- Easy to use, just like a regular bank account, you pay more though

    3. Banks that don't use ChexSystems -- takes a while to find these

But, as I said, this had a good ending. So if you find you can't open a new checking account because of ChexSystems, I encourage you to look at local financial institutions. Not all banking organizations use ChexSystems, so don't be discouraged if you can't find anything on your first go. Keep looking around and something will turn up eventually.
